Private boat trip from Split, with your own skipper.
Zlatni Rat in a few lines
The beach sticks out almost half a kilometre into the sea, about two kilometres from the centre of Bol. Its tip moves with the waves and currents, and measurements show it keeps getting longer (Bol Tourist Board). From the water you see the whole shape, which you can't from the beach.
Half day or full day?
The north coast of Brač is close to Split, so a half day there is easy: swim, snorkel, back for lunch. Bol is on the south side of the island, so a trip with Zlatni Rat works better as a full day, especially if you want lunch in Bol.
A typical full day
- Leave Split and cross to Brač.
- Swim in a north-coast bay while the water is calm.
- Round the island to Bol and anchor off Zlatni Rat.
- Lunch in Bol.
- One more swim on the way home.
Which boat
A speedboat is the easy pick. A RIB works for a half day on the north coast. For a slow day with kids, a catamaran is the comfy option.
Good to know
- Zlatni Rat gets packed in high summer. Anchoring off it and swimming in is often nicer than the beach itself.
- The channel between Brač and Hvar catches wind in the afternoon. Your skipper plans the route around it.
